Position Objective Ensure the accurate and timely execution of payroll processing for entities in Mexico, guaranteeing compliance with tax and legal obligations. The primary purpose of this position is to strengthen the integrity of financial information through the technical reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, the maintenance of supporting documentation, and the generation of analytical reports that facilitate decision‑making and internal control within the department. Lead Responsibilities Payroll Processing and Operations Execute the full cycle of periodic payroll processing (weekly and biweekly), ensuring 100% accuracy in calculations. Conduct a thorough review of pre‑payroll files and variance reports to identify and correct discrepancies prior to closing. Manage the payment process for employees and third parties, ensuring strict adherence to cutoff dates and bank disbursement schedules. Financial Integration and Control (Accounting Focus) Develop and maintain up‑to‑date balance sheet account integrations (SAP GL) related to payroll (accruals, tax withholdings, benefits). Ensure that each accounting entry has adequate supporting documentation for internal and external audits (SOX). Analyze variances between actual expenses and accounting accruals, providing technical explanations for detected deviations. Compliance and Reporting Generate and deliver payroll reports required by Finance, Tax, and Human Resources departments in a timely manner. Collaborate in preparing information for the annual declaration of wages and salaries, as well as in determining the PTU. Ensure compliance with social security regulations (IMSS, INFONAVIT) and income tax withholdings, validating the consistency of data on the corresponding portals. Process Improvement and Data Management Optimize work documents and validation models. Propose improvements to the structure of shared files and documentation methods to increase the team’s agility. Serve as a technical point of contact to resolve complex questions from employees regarding their pay and deductions, while maintaining institutional communication channels.
