We encourage applications from all qualified candidates. About the Role In the role of Actuarial Analyst within Aon’s Risk Consulting practice, you will support analytical and advisory services. These services help clients understand and lead their risk and insurance programs. You will work alongside premier actuaries and consultants on many projects. These include loss reserving, pricing, forecasting, and self‑insurance analysis. You will also build your actuarial expertise and progress toward your professional credentials. Key responsibilities include: Deliver client value Support analytical work including loss reserving/valuations, ratemaking, data management, loss forecasting, self‑insurance analysis and cash flow analysis. Collect, organize and analyze data to support existing brokerage business and new business/proposal development. Prepare clear, accurate analyses and results that summarize key findings and simplify sophisticated concepts for customers and associates. Apply Aon processes, methods and models appropriately, delivering work that consistently meets expectations for accuracy, quality and appearance. Meet both in‑house and outside deadlines, delivering on commitments for clients and colleagues. Prepare and maintain effective documentation of all client correspondence and work products. Collaborate and establish relationships Maintain effective relationships with Aon teams and clients, facilitating timely data and information collection. Connect with internal and external clients in a clear, professional and constructive manner. Work closely with project leads and supervisors, ensuring regular interaction and alignment on scope, priorities and timelines. Support collaboration within the unit by delivering Aon United, sharing information and bringing to bear the broader firm’s expertise. Support innovation and continuous improvement. Supply to improved assignment results by enhancing specific operational procedures and identifying productivity improvements or cost‑saving opportunities. Apply and translate new concepts and analytical techniques to improve team effectiveness. Regularly access Aon’s knowledge tools to stay current on industry and actuarial developments. Execution and performance Complete routine client service tasks efficiently, ensuring products and services are delivered accurately and on time. Handle changing work assignments and balance multiple priorities to support client team workload. Apply existing approaches and processes to specific client assignments, advancing anomalies to the AGRC service team as appropriate. Assist in the preparation of client proposals and presentations. About You You are an analytically minded professional with a strong quantitative background and early progress in the actuarial certification journey. You are motivated by solving sophisticated problems, delivering high‑quality work and developing your actuarial career within a collaborative, customer‑focused environment. Education and experience A four‑year college degree (or equivalent) in finance, mathematics, statistics, economics, actuarial science, risk management, or a related field. Demonstrated ability in a relevant role (actuarial, risk, insurance, analytics or related field), such as: At least 3 years of professional experience combined with an undergraduate degree or equivalent experience, or Proven experience accompanied by a bachelor’s qualification in a closely related area where actuarial skills are applied. Strong understanding of basic actuarial concepts and techniques.Technical skills Solid understanding of Microsoft tools: Excel, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint and Access. Knowledge of R, Python, SAS or similar analytical tools is a plus. Actuarial credentials and development One or two CAS (or equivalent) actuarial exams completed. Proven commitment to completing the actuarial exam program, with a goal of passing at least one actuarial exam per year. Active engagement in developing personal and professional skills through training, courses, seminars or certification programs. Professional skills and behaviors Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to summarize complex findings and highlight key points to clients and coworkers. Good organizational skills, with the ability to lead multiple tasks and deliverables.
