We’re hiring a QA Tester with strong experience in manual testing, SQL validation, and API testing to support enterprise applications within the reinsurance industry. This role is focused on ensuring product quality through functional, regression, database, and API testing while working closely with Agile development teams. Compensation Contract (6 months+, potential extension) $70,000 – $80,000 MXN gross monthly Mixed scheme or contractor (honorarios) Hybrid – Monterrey (2–4 days per month onsite) Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Advanced English mandatory What You’ll Do Review user stories, requirements, and functional specifications Create and execute functional and regression test cases Validate backend data using SQL queries and SSMS Perform API testing using Postman Identify, document, and track defects through resolution Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners Participate in Scrum ceremonies and release activities Conduct post-release validation and production testing Support continuous quality improvement initiatives Technical Requirements 6+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance Strong SQL querying skills (required ) Experience validating data in SQL Server environments Experience with API testing using Postman Strong understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies Experience creating and maintaining test cases and test plans Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments Experience with Azure DevOps, TFS, or similar tools Advanced English mandatory Nice to have Experience in the Insurance or Reinsurance industry Agile certifications or formal Agile training Experience supporting enterprise-scale applications What We’re Looking For Strong attention to detail Analytical and problem-solving mindset Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong communication and collaboration skills Commitment to quality and continuous improvement Comfortable working with distributed teams and stakeholders
