Responsibilities As the Maintenance Group Leader, you will be responsible for a small to medium group of maintenance employees. You will manage the maintenance and repair of plant equipment and facilities aligned with standard GM maintenance systems. Other responsibilities will include: You will analyze and implement product or machinery designs for the best method for manufacturing processes You will propose and evaluate the processes for equipment in assigned area Direct the design, development, and/or improvement of manufacturing processes for assigned area You will keep regular contact with partners outside the work group You will provide direction to small group of technical employees You may evaluate or monitor expenditures for processes and/or equipment Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree: Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Mechatronic Engineer or other related Engineering field/experience. . Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar position. Maintenance experience, preferably in the automotive industry; highly valued in paint shop applications. Shift flexibility: Availability to work on rotating shifts (4x3 schedule). English proficiency: Intermediate conversational level, with ability to express complete technical ideas. Technical expertise Experience with industrial networks such as Ethernet/IP and DeviceNet Familiarity with Fanuc robots Knowledge of electric motors and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), preferably Allen-Bradley. PLC programming and troubleshooting Experience in pneumatics, lubrication, hydraulics, mechanical systems, and power transmission components. Proven experience managing and leading maintenance personnel directly Experience with seal application robots Knowledge of industrial conveyors (chain, roller table, elevators, overhead).
