Quote Analyst: Responsible for the preparation and coordination of Request for Quotations (RFQs) for materials components, subassemblies and/or services based on quote requirements received from various departments within the organization (i.e. Program Management, Sales). Analyzes quotations for content in addition to preparing complete cost analyses. Defines needs, clarifies discrepancies and determines the structure of BOM. Monitors RFQs through the process and resolves issues that arise. Completes costing information including generation of costed BOMs, identifying exceptions and assumptions, and documenting all unique costs and issues. Responsible for supplier selection, make/buy decisions, and interfaces with sales and customer to resolve issues. At the highest level, may also monitor technology trends and prepare cost‑reduction and other recommendations based on those trends. Responsibilities Prepare, coordinate, and calculate the selling prices for each finished‑goods model in the customer catalog during a determined period. Lead and manage meetings with other departments regarding quarterly and semi‑annual re‑quotes, CBOM downloads and roll ups, standard hours, and cost‑model negotiations with sales and the customer. Revise, update, and apply cost models within different re‑quote processes. Review and calculate the gross margin for each customer. Produce and analyze weekly and monthly reports, including negative margins, ERP analysis, multicosts, NREs, PPVs, FX rates, reclassifications, inventory revaluations, sales adjustments, etc. Perform cost analysis in DM and MVA to apply cost reductions. Monitor, review, and approve engineering change requests that affect the direct material or labor. Requirements Strong customer service orientation. Ability to work under pressure. Knowledge and adjustment of all financial variables. Continuous improvement focus on PPV. Analytical skills (cost analyst).
