Software Engineer (Linkerd) at BairesDev As a Software Engineer (Linkerd), you will implement and manage Linkerd to provide a lightweight and high‑performance service mesh for microservices environments. You will focus on optimizing Kubernetes networking, ensuring secure and reliable communication between services while maintaining system simplicity. What You'll Do Deploy, configure, and maintain Linkerd service mesh across Kubernetes clusters. Optimize network performance and latency for microservices using Rust‑based proxies. Implement mutual TLS (mTLS) and observability features to enhance service‑to‑service security and visibility. Troubleshoot complex networking issues within the service mesh and containerized environments. Collaborate with platform and development teams to integrate Linkerd into existing CI/CD and GitOps workflows. Contribute to the Linkerd open‑source community or internal tooling to extend mesh capabilities. What We Are Looking For 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure. Proven expertise in implementing and managing Linkerd service mesh across Kubernetes clusters. Advanced proficiency in Rust for optimizing network performance and proxies. Deep understanding of Kubernetes networking, mTLS, and observability features. Experience integrating service mesh into CI/CD and GitOps workflows. Advanced proficiency in English.
