Location: Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico (Americas Region), Remote: Yes Req ID: Job Title Production Team Leader 2 (TL2) Summary This job is a first‑level supervisor supervising approx. 10‑25 employees and typically reports to a second‑level manager. The supervisor provides direct supervision to non‑exempt employees performing routine work within a single function or work group, offers input into annual plans/objectives, enforces policies, contributes to policy development, executes budgets, develops schedules, and ensures compliance with policies and procedures. The role is accountable for meeting unit goals, maintaining performance standards, and ensuring timely and quality product output. Responsibilities Receive daily production schedule from planning and material to manufacture, modify or repair products from logistics. Coordinate inputs and resources (materials, personnel, equipment, etc.) to achieve on‑time, quality production within budget. Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the production process. Manage controllable operating expenditure such as scrap and consumables. Identify production limits and guide teams to continuously improve processes. Manage performance, motivation, and satisfaction of the team to ensure quality, output and efficiency targets are met. Ensure all return‑to‑work interviews and first‑level disciplinary hearings are conducted timely, consistently, and professionally. Knowledge / Skills / Competencies Knowledge of production processes and tools/equipment used. Understanding of the business unit and impact on customer satisfaction, product quality, on‑time delivery, and profitability. Ability to coordinate a wide variety of resources to meet production quality and quantity metrics. Effective communication with internal and external customers. Leadership, management, training, and motivation of a diverse employee group to achieve high production levels in a dynamic environment. Proficiency in PC applications: Word, Lotus Notes, Excel, PowerPoint. Physical Demands Work in a manufacturing environment with occasional exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes. Periodic sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or detailed data. Occasional travel may be required. Complies with local Health and Safety guidelines. Typical Experience Four to six years of relevant experience. Typical Education Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
