Introduction: We are seeking a highly skilled Drilling Domain QA Engineer with 5-10 years of experience to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in ensuring the quality and reliability of our drilling engineering applications, which are pivotal to our cloud-based solutions in the energy sector. The successful candidate will leverage their deep domain expertise and hands‑on technical experience to validate software products that support drilling operations, directly impacting operational efficiency and safety within the organization. Roles and Responsibilities: Execute and manage workflows to validate that cloud application results align precisely with desktop application outputs. Perform detailed side‑by‑side comparisons of application outputs focusing on accuracy, performance, and capability. Develop, create, and optimize comprehensive test cases tailored to drilling engineering applications. Identify inefficiencies and propose actionable improvements to enhance software quality and user experience. Conduct automated daily tests to ensure continuous application accuracy, stability, and performance. Support overall validation and test management efforts within assigned scrum teams. Collaborate closely with one of the 10 dedicated scrum teams developing cloud‑based drilling solutions, contributing domain expertise and quality assurance best practices. Apply drilling engineering knowledge in areas such as hydraulics , casing design , torque and drag , trajectory design , or anti‑collision to ensure technical accuracy in testing. Engage with engineering-focused teams, providing insights and feedback grounded in practical drilling engineering experience. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required; degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related fields are preferred but not mandatory. 5-10 years of hands‑on experience in the drilling domain , particularly with drilling engineering applications within the last 2-3 years. Proven expertise in at least one key drilling application area/product such as hydraulics , casing design , torque and drag , trajectory design , or anti‑collision ; experience with comparable competitor products is acceptable. Prior roles in field operations, Remote Operations Centers (RTOC engineers), drilling engineering, or similar drilling-related positions are highly desirable. Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify gaps in application performance and user experience. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is a plus. Knowledge of automation frameworks, databases, and the ability to run and write queries is advantageous. #J-18808-Ljbffr
