Project Engineer Location: Juarez, Nuevo León Work Mode: Onsite Under the supervision of the Project Specialist, this position reports to the continuous improvement coordinator (CIC) and is responsible for updating material changes, determining standard costs, maintaining SAP & VIS information, and keeping Quality, Production, and Materials informed via electronic media. The role supports continuous improvement projects aimed at achieving efficiency, productivity, decreasing wastes and costs. Responsibilities Responsible for VIS activities, including creating plates, parts, cross‑references, mold numbers, assigning mold numbers to plates, and managing defect creation and changes. Add part numbers of materials to inspection plans. Create routings, rework BOMs, and production versions. Audit and correct master data findings. Maintain SAP, including routings, equivalent units, labor and materials. Monitor and correct R‑Mails and COGI in SAP. Check and update engineering changes (drawings, BOM changes, standard changes, etc.). Notify production, materials, and quality of material changes and revisions in plates through electronic media and meetings. Audit and correct BOMs for parts and plate numbers. Elaborate PCI or REA for BOM changes (slip and glaze formulas, assembly packing). Audit SNP in the system for SKU schedule. Ensure raw material and finished product materials match between system and physical parts. Participate in monthly and annual FG inventories to reconcile system and real quantities. Support Kaizen events by leading and coaching teams. Support lean tools and methodology KOS implementations (training, standard work, time studies, follow‑up to achieve KOS savings goals). Comply with health and safety roles and responsibilities. Experience: One year of related experience preferred. Additional: Ability to understand SAP and VIS systems, standard cost and BOM structure. Bilingual in English & Spanish preferred.
