Key Responsibilities: Demonstrated experience in project management for NPI tooling. This involved assessing, planning, and replacing existing metals tooling, including diecast, stamping, machining, and/or sheet metal equipment, through production qualification. I was able to develop part and die cost estimates, identify alternatives and their tradeoffs. Additionally, I managed project schedules and drove team members on multiple concurrent die replacements to completion. Demonstrated experience in metals tool (diecast, stamping, machining, and sheet metal equipment) design and evaluation to review tool repair requests and discern if need, cost, and duration of repairs are reasonable. Participate in commodity-level meetings with partners in Strategic Sourcing, Quality, and Production to identify opportunities for improvements in tool spend and strategic partnerships with suppliers. Use tool building and processing expertise to benchmark and technically evaluate production facilities and external suppliers. Use processing and design expertise to talk with internal engineers and external suppliers to resolve part design and manufacturability issues. Expert in the field of metals, including diecast, stamping, machining, and sheet metal equipment. Work with experts in new areas of these technologies to research, develop, and incorporate new found knowledge. This helps support Rockwell's future design needs. Experience in the aspects of project management including determining project scope, managing project budgets, developing project specifications, working with project team members and managing suppliers. Resolve complex process issues, reduce variation and deploy best practices globally. The Essentials – You Will Have Designer with minimum 5 years of experience or equivalent functional knowledge in areas of metals (diecast, stamping, machining, and/or sheet metal equipment) processing, part and tool design. Project Management, Global or Regional in scope, with minimum of 3 years of experience. B.S. degree in an Engineering discipline. PMP Certification. Lean Six Sigma certification, Greenbelt or Blackbelt. Possess knowledge in new product development processes, manufacturing assembly environments, and associated business systems. Asset management to include planning, budgeting, schedules and suppliers through implementation and product life. The Preferred – You Might Also Have Experience with MS Office and CAD software applications; Pro/ENGINEER & MS Project preferred. Two years of experience with an Enterprise Product Data Management (EPDM) system SAP. Advanced English and ability to present technical information. Travel Travel may be required (5-10% international, 5-10% domestic). You will report to Fabrication Services Manager.
