The Data Steward position in Matamoros is a key role focused on ensuring the quality and integrity of data within the organization. This full-time position involves managing and maintaining data standards, collaborating with various stakeholders, and implementing data governance practices. The Data Steward will play a crucial role in enhancing data quality, accuracy, and compliance with established standards. Responsibilities Data Quality Management: Monitor and ensure the quality and integrity of data across various databases and systems. Implement data quality standards and procedures. Data Governance: Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and enforce data governance policies. Implement and maintain data governance frameworks. Data Standardization: Standardize and normalize data formats and structures for consistency. Develop and enforce data standardization practices. Data Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data definitions, sources, and processes. Ensure data lineage and traceability. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and challenges. Communicate data quality issues and solutions effectively to stakeholders. Data Compliance: Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations. Conduct regular audits to identify and rectify data compliance issues. Data Cleansing and Enrichment: Identify and execute data cleansing initiatives to rectify inconsistencies. Implement strategies for data enrichment to enhance overall data quality. Qualifications Bachelor´s degree in Data Management, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a Data Steward or in a similar role. Strong understanding of data governance principles and practices. Familiarity with data quality tools and methodologies. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of data protection and privacy regulations. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications Certification in Data Management or related field. Experience with data profiling and metadata management tools. Familiarity with industry best practices in data governance. Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) principles.
