Test Automation Engineer – Commercial Credit We are seeking a Test Automation Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of applications across both modern and legacy systems supporting the Commercial Credit area. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining automated test solutions for Angular web applications and Java‑based desktop applications. Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts for the Commercial Wholesale platform. Collaborate with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to identify test requirements and ensure full coverage of the platform. Support integration and regression testing cycles for both legacy and modernized systems, in the Cloud. Contribute to the administration and enhancements of CI/CD pipelines, integrating automated test gates into the release process. Troubleshoot and analyze test failures, identifying root causes and providing clear defect remediation, coupled with comprehensive documentation. Participate in code reviews and promote best practices for test automation and quality assurance. Partner with other Test Automation and Software Development Engineers to establish and institute test‑automation concepts that enable efficient and effective delivery of outcomes for our customers. Provide support to end users during User Acceptance Testing phase to ensure a smooth validation process before production releases. Support pre/post testing during release implementation. Be open to learning and performing development work in Java or similar technologies, with mentoring and support from senior team members. Qualifications Experience with Java‑based test tools, understanding Java programming and ability to write automated scripts. Experience in automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, Sikulix, or similar. Experience testing Angular front‑end applications. SQL skills for backend data validation. Knowledge of testing principles, including regression, integration and system testing. Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira or other. Experience working in Agile Scrum teams, suggesting and contributing to improvements. Strong attention to detail with an expectation to deliver required outcomes according to quality and timelines. Excellent working relationship skills and strong customer focus. AI and Agentic AI first approach throughout the SDLC. Familiarity with applications developed in COBOL and testing methodologies for legacy systems – Java AWT. Experience with API automation using Karate or REST assured framework. Experience in Azure DevOps to manage test cases, plan test cycles, track execution and report results. Additional Knowledge and Skills Ability to use AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to support daily work. Skills in evaluating AI outputs for accuracy, compliance, and bias. Experience integrating AI into workflows to improve efficiency or insights. Familiarity with AI assisted research, summarization, and content generation. Understanding of responsible AI use, including ethics and data protection. Work Experience & Education 2+ years of experience in Automated Testing. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related Engineering field; and/or commensurate experience preferred. Verbal and written proficiency in English, Portuguese and/or Spanish.
