About The Role The Senior Logistics Coordinator contributes to HARMAN’s Order-to-Cash and revenue recognition process by managing the delivery execution of Customer Orders. The Senior Logistics Coordinator plays an essential role in customer order fulfillment operations by shipping the products to customers, supporting the activities of the regional distribution center in California, as well as manufacturing and customer service, and direct shipments from Tijuana / San Diego. Key internal partners are the regional Sales Operations and Customer Care teams, Demand and Supply planning teams, Manufacturing, Global Trade Compliance, and Finance. What You Will Do Own and manage end‑to‑end order fulfillment execution within the Order‑to‑Cash process, ensuring customer orders are delivered in alignment with contractual commitments, operational constraints, and revenue recognition requirements. Serve as a primary logistics partner to regional Sales Operations and planning teams, managing open order books, maintaining accurate delivery schedules in SAP, and coordinating domestic and international shipments from the Tijuana, MX manufacturing site, as well as the Fontana, CA distribution center. Proactively align demand, supply, and execution priorities to ensure reliable delivery performance across assigned customer accounts. Drive, along with Demand and Supply planning teams, Sales Operations, and manufacturing site operations, to identify and coordinate shipments to domestic US and International customers directly from the Tijuana, MX site. Lead transportation planning and execution by selecting appropriate modes and service levels, consolidating shipments to optimize cost and efficiency, and quoting non‑standard freight solutions. Partner with Sales Operations to align on cost ownership and customer‑specific logistics requirements, ensuring readiness for execution through standard systems and processes. Ensure seamless coordination with customers, customer‑appointed freight forwarders, and HARMAN’s 3PL and 4PL partners to achieve timely cargo pickup, shipment visibility, and delivery. Oversee creation and management of domestic and international shipping documentation in compliance with Incoterms, export regulations, and Global Trade Compliance requirements when acting as Exporter of Record. Provide end‑to‑end shipment transparency through proactive track‑and‑trace, customer communication, and documentation support. Manage product returns and logistics‑related financial issues in collaboration with internal stakeholders. Act as the escalation point for logistics‑related customer issues, quality complaints, and carrier performance. Lead loss and damage claims, ensure root cause analysis, and drive corrective actions with a strong quality and continuous improvement mindset. What You Need To Be Successful College/university degree and 5+ years of logistics/shipping experience. Experience in international trade as an exporter/importer. Knowledge of international transportation, modes, solutions, freight forwarders, airports/ports. Knowledge of country‑specific rules and requirements for assigned territories. Strong working knowledge of inventory control, warehousing, and material handling procedures and practices. Experience with SAP ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Warehouse management systems (WMS), and Transportation Management Systems (TMS). High sense of urgency, with the ability to prioritize tasks. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written English), customer‑facing role. Organized, detail‑oriented, and must be able to maintain accurate records. Ability to use different tools and systems, assimilating information from various sources. Willingness to work across time zones/support customers in the assigned region. Bonus Points if You Have Deeper understanding and experience in demand and supply planning in manufacturing environments. Quality mindset with a structured approach to problem‑solving and continuous improvement. Global experience with collaboration in teams of various geographies.
