Role Purpose This position will be responsible for leading technical work and process development into manufacturing to execute projects for the HSDC business related to new product introduction or process improvement. Working with other members of the project core team, ensure technical rigor and the use of sound engineering principles and method throughout all activities of the project and having strong knowledge of fiber optic products. Key Responsibilities Provide technical leadership and support to new projects with scientific or technical challenges, ensuring the integrity of processes and products. Identify process improvement opportunities within NPI projects and develop strategic plans for implementation. Collaborate with Technology, Project Managers, and Manufacturing teams to drive process development and technical understanding. Analyze data, perform failure analysis, and document fundamental understanding, adhering to industrial standards related to product function. Lead cross‑functional teams in troubleshooting problems and implementing solutions to ensure project success. Report project status, concerns, progress, and challenges to key stakeholders. Participate in new product development projects with a focus on Design for Manufacturability (DFM). Support the establishment and maintenance of a safe work environment, prioritizing employee well‑being and compliance with safety standards. Experiences/Education – Required Master’s or PhD in a Physical Science or Technical field. Strong technical aptitude and ability to grasp new advanced concepts quickly through physics and engineering principles. Experience in time management and planning. Good problem‑solving and analytical capabilities. High initiative, able to work with minimal direction, and able to work in a team environment. English language required for successful communication. More determinant scientific background experience, such as researcher or postdoctoral, than industrial experience. Scientific experience 3–5 years. Experiences/Education – Desired Entrepreneurial attitude and approach toward creating new engineered products. A passionate and creative problem solver. Organized, meticulous attention to detail, self‑starter, and motivated. Experience in Green Belt. Excellent communications, interpersonal and influencing skills. Experience on New Product Introduction or Product Development.
