Process Optimization & Efficiency Analyze production processes for plastics (e.g., injection molding) and metals (e.g., machining, fabrication, stamping) to identify inefficiencies Develop and implement process improvements to increase throughput and reduce cycle time Design and optimize plant layouts, workflows, and material flow Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement Lead and support Lean initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, value stream mapping, and waste reduction Establish standard work instructions and time studies Drive continuous improvement projects focused on productivity, cost, and quality Cost Analysis & Estimating Conduct labor and cost analysis for new and existing programs Review and update production standards and BOM’s Support quoting processes by developing accurate manufacturing cost models Identify cost-saving opportunities in materials, labor, and processes Production Support Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to resolve process issues Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OEE, scrap rates, and downtime Support new product introductions (NPI) and process validation Quality & Compliance Ensure processes meet customer specifications and industry standards Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for defects or nonconformances Support ISO, safety, and regulatory compliance initiatives Data Analysis & Reporting Collect and analyze production data to identify trends and improvement opportunities Prepare reports and present findings to management Utilize engineering tools and software for simulation, modeling, and analysis Education Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field Experience 2–5+ years of experience in manufacturing (plastics, metals, or contract manufacturing preferred) Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies Experience with plastics processes (injection molding, extrusion) and/or metal processes (CNC machining, stamping, fabrication) Proficiency in time studies, process mapping, and workflow analysis Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Minitab) Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration #J-18808-Ljbffr
