Job Title Production Manager 1 (OPS – Operations, PRD – Production) Location Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico (Americas Region) Job Type Full‑time, On‑site Summary First‑level manager responsible for directing semi‑skilled and entry‑level professional employees performing diverse and specialized roles across more than one function or work group. Establishes annual plans, interprets policies, and oversees budgets, schedules, and compliance. Provides hiring/firing decisions, performance reviews, and coaching, while building internal and external relationships and ensuring effective problem solving. Responsibilities Receive a daily production schedule from planning; receive material to manufacture, modify or repair products from logistics. Coordinate inputs and a variety of resources (materials, personnel, equipment, etc.) to achieve on‑time production of quality products within budget guidelines. Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the production process. Identify limits to production and guide teams to continuously improve processes. Knowledge, Skills, Competencies In‑depth knowledge of the production process and the tools and equipment used. Knowledge of materials and processes. In‑depth knowledge and understanding of the business unit and how decisions impact customer satisfaction, product quality, on‑time delivery and the profitability of the unit. Ability to coordinate a wide variety of resources to meet production quality and quantity metrics within a highly dynamic environment. Ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal and external customers. Ability to effectively lead, manage, train and motivate a diverse group of employees to achieve high production levels within tight time deadlines. Good understanding of IT concepts and integrated business applications. Physical Demands Duties performed in a manufacturing environment with occasional exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, etc. Duties may require periodic sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on detailed data; occasional overnight travel is required. All demands are carried out within the local existing Health and Safety guidelines. Typical Experience Five to seven years of relevant experience. Typical Education Bachelor's degree in related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience. Educational requirements may vary by geography.
