Overview The RF Product Development and Test Engineering group develops test solutions for design verification and characterization of highly integrated RF receiver/transmitter/transceiver ASICs and Front-End Modules designed by QCT. This role includes test software development, design and debug of test interface hardware, development of test methodology and its implementation, test equipment automation, and verification of test solutions. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience. Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience. PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience. Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer Science or related fields. More than 1 year experience in test validation, test automation, and RF testing. Experience in RF test methodology development and implementation using different programming languages and test platforms. Strong understanding of RF Measurement science. Solid understanding of the measurements necessary to characterize an RF device through theoretical and practical applications. Experience in key RF measurements (e.g., EVM, ACLR, Gain, NF, IP3, Phase Noise, etc.). Understanding of basic RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, signal source analyzer, signal generators, oscilloscopes, etc. Familiarity with cellular standards such as CDMA, WCDMA, UMTS, GSM/GPRS/EDGE, LTE, NR. Familiarity with 4G, 5G, mmW, 802.11x WLAN, OFDM, GPS, Bluetooth, etc. Understanding of basic ATE test platforms (Advantest, Uflex, Cohu, etc.). Experience with developing or modifying Visual Basic, C++, C#, Java, Python, LabVIEW and/or TestStand. Knowledge of RF-PCB design basics. Understanding of board design, debugging, and development. Physical Requirements Frequently transports between offices, buildings, and campuses up to 0.5 mile. Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 5 lbs. Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting). Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day. Continuous communication which includes comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.
