Introduction We are seeking a skilled Software Test Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products, particularly in the fast-evolving OTT (Over-The-Top) media space. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing and executing automated and functional tests, contributing directly to the reliability and performance of our platforms. Your expertise will help enhance user experience and maintain our competitive edge in the industry. Roles and Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and execute automation testing scripts to ensure robust test coverage and efficient defect identification. Design and implement test cases for both functional testing and regression testing based on product requirements and specifications. Collaborate closely with development, product, and operations teams to understand features and ensure comprehensive test planning. Utilize Java framework skills to build and enhance automation frameworks tailored to OTT applications and services. Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies using bug tracking tools. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality concerns. Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to optimize test efficiency and effectiveness. Stay updated with emerging trends and best practices in automation testing and OTT technology domains. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 4+ years of hands‑on experience in automation testing and functional testing . Strong proficiency in Java and experience working with Java-based testing frameworks. Proven experience working in the OTT domain or with media streaming platforms is highly desirable. Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing lifecycle (STLC). Experience with test management and bug tracking tools. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. Certifications related to software testing (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.
