Job Description Summary We are establishing a Greenfield manufacturing facility in Tlaxcala, Mexico, as a flagship Industry 4.0 facility with state‑of‑the‑art automation and digitization. We need an Automation Engineer to support the design, implementation, and ongoing operations of the new plant, acting as the local SME for startup, stabilization, and continued maintenance. Key Job Responsibilities Collaborate with CAPEX, engineering maintenance, facility teams, vendors, and service providers to support CAPEX setup and plant operations by improving and maintaining automation systems on the shop floor, automated warehouse, and building management systems. Draft user‑requirement specifications and develop software code for minor process improvement projects. Coordinate with equipment vendors for compliance to specifications, attend kick‑off meetings, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and site installation and commissioning, ensuring delivery as per design documents. Maintain shop‑floor control system, MES, and automated warehouse operations. Work with vendor helpdesk for software issues, propose solutions, prepare troubleshooting reports, and conduct training for engineering and operations personnel. Implement corrective and preventive maintenance for control systems and develop comprehensive obsolescence profiles for hardware and software. Perform routine checks of equipment operating parameters, update monitoring systems, and execute modifications to equipment, processes, and operations to improve safety, increase efficiency, and align with company goals. Ensure operations comply with EHS duties as specified by company policy and statutory provisions. Technical Knowledge Area Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, and other PLC brands Ethernet, FT View, SIEMENS TIA, Ignition portal SAP master data, enhanced master recipe, batch control, MES, and IoT platforms VMware, SAN storage, network switches, Access, VB, SQL (advantageous) Electrical and instrumentation expertise Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering 5+ years of experience in automation and project management in highly regulated industries such as food and beverages Experience with Greenfield and Brownfield projects Ability to define project scope, deliverables, timelines, resource requirements, and budget while incorporating risk and quality considerations Strong analytical and decision‑making skills based on accurate data Demonstrated teamwork, respect, trust, and synergy with colleagues Location & Logistics Location: Tlaxcala, Mexico Travel Required: 0–25% Relocation Provided: Yes Job Posting End Date: June #J-18808-Ljbffr
