Job Title: SME – Molding, Extrusion, Dipping, Blow Molding Responsibilities Plan, direct, and implement all aspects of design and development of new medical device products or software systems. Develop, evaluate, implement, and maintain technical quality assurance and control systems or reliability systems and standards related to materials, techniques, or company products. Investigate and evaluate existing technologies to guide the conceptualization of new methodologies, materials, machines, processes, or products. Direct development of new concepts from initial design through to market release. Manage feasibility studies of designs to determine capability of meeting intended functions. Monitor documentation maintenance throughout all phases of research and development. Coordinate activities with outside suppliers and consultants to ensure timely delivery. Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure efficient operation of the function. People Management Supervise a team of employees, focusing on tactical, operational, and some strategic activities within a specified area. Manage performance, develop talent, foster engagement and inclusion, and communicate business and operational developments. Plan, prioritize, and direct responsibilities of direct reports to achieve goal attainment. Provide mentoring, coaching, and performance reviews; facilitate staff 1:1s to guide performance management and development efforts. Differentiating Factors Autonomy: Override team members or subordinate supervisors, delivering results per established procedures. Organizational Impact: Plan and set goals for the team, influencing project schedules, customer satisfaction, and resource allocation. Innovation and Complexity: Improve processes, systems, or products, tackling challenging multi‑disciplinary issues. Leadership and Talent Management: Provide hiring, firing, promotion, performance, and rewards input for direct reports. Required Knowledge and Experience Baccalaureate degree (or equivalent) and at least 3 years of relevant experience; advanced degree with at least 1 year of relevant experience also acceptable. Advanced knowledge of management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching, and process execution. Deep understanding of job area obtained through advanced education combined with practical experience.
