YOUR ROLE Support the design and development of Chassis & Engine Systems components, by analyzing technical specifications, engineering drawings, CAD data, and Bills of Material (BOM) throughout the vehicle development lifecycle Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support RFQs, engineering changes, technical reviews, and benchmarking activities for chassis and engine‑related commodities. Develop basic to intermediate costing and “Should Cost” analyses, evaluating the cost impact of design decisions, materials, and manufacturing processes, and supporting cost optimization initiatives. Provide technical and cost‑related input to support supplier negotiations, cost gap analysis, and commodity strategies using internal costing methodologies and databases. YOUR PROFILE Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering or related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in Engineering or Technical Design roles, preferably within the automotive industry. Experience in the design or development of Chassis & Engine Systems, including one or more of the following areas: Braking Systems, Exhaust Systems or Engine Cooling Modules. Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, such as machining, casting, stamping, welding, and assembly. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and technical documentation. Strong interest and willingness to learn and perform Costing activities. Previous exposure to cost analysis, should‑cost models, or technical costing is a plus. Intermediate English proficiency. Willingness to work in a hybrid model and/or relocate if required to CDMX/Santa Fe.
