Maxima Apparel is a licensed sportswear company with about 800 employees in our Westbury, NY headquarters and additional offices in Mexico City, India, Egypt, and China. We're hiring a Systems Administrator to take full ownership of IT operations in the New York office, reporting directly to the CTO. The most important part of this job is taking care of our people. When someone has a problem, you fix it quickly and completely. When a new hire starts, their equipment is ready, their accounts work, and they feel like someone has their back from day one. When something breaks, you're already on it. That reliability and responsiveness is the foundation of everything else in this role. Beyond daily support, you'll also own the care and maintenance of our on-prem infrastructure and participate in larger projects with CTO direction. Some days you're helping someone get set up with a new laptop. Other days you're replacing drives in a server rack, running cable for new access points, or working through a mailbox migration. The variety is the point. Your Day-to-Day User support and onboarding come first Be the go-to IT perso n for ~200 employees. Respond quickly, follow through, and close the loop. Own new hire onboarding end to end — provision hardware, set up accounts (AD, email, ERP, internal tools), test everything, and hand it off clean. Day-to-day maintenance . Strong end-user support skills — patient, clear communicator, comfortable with non-technical people across all levels of the company Working knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory (GPOs, user/group management, domain operations) Cross-platform experience — Windows, Mac, and at least basic Linux (Ubuntu) Comfortable with networking fundamentals — DNS, DHCP, VLANs, basic routing and firewall concepts Hands-on experience with server hardware — you've racked servers, replaced drives, swapped cache modules, dealt with iLO/IPMI Can terminate CAT6 , mount access points, run cable - this role includes real physical infrastructure work Can execute projects with direction - you understand the goal, stay aligned with the plan, and follow through without needing to be managed step by step On-site in Westbury, NY five days a week , with occasional after-hours for maintenance windows or emergency fixes Preferred Experience as a sole IT person or in a very small team - you know what it's like to own everything M365 administration or migration experience (Exchange Online, Entra ID, Intune, Teams) UniFi or similar enterprise wireless experience PowerShell scripting Lives on Long Island or nearby - short commute matters for a role with occasional after-hours calls Growth Path This role has real room to grow. The right person will have influence over how IT operations evolve and the opportunity to move into a leadership position over time. What We're Not Looking For Someone who treats support as beneath them or just wants to close tickets and move on Someone who's purely a manager and expects to delegate hands-on work Someone who needs constant direction or waits to be told what to do next Remote or hybrid — this is fully on-site, every day About Maxima Apparel Maxima Apparel is a licensed sportswear company that designs and manufactures apparel for major sports leagues.
