Position Summary Responsible for ensuring that all facilities and infrastructure necessary for production operations are properly designed, constructed, operated, and maintained. The Facilities Engineer oversees the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of all facilities and infrastructure within the manufacturing plant. This includes managing projects related to facility improvement, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and optimizing facility performance to support production operations. Responsibilities Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to design and construct new facilities or modify existing ones to meet production needs. Develop project plans, budgets, and timelines for facility construction and renovation projects. Coordinate construction activities, ensuring compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards. Oversee the day-to-day operation and maintenance of all facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems. Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance of facility equipment. Work with safety and environmental teams to develop and enforce safety protocols related to facility operations and maintenance activities. Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities to ensure compliance with safety standards and industry best practices. Troubleshoot equipment and facility-related issues, coordinating repairs and maintenance activities as needed. Work with external contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure the successful execution of facility projects. Coordinate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure that facility systems meet production requirements and industry standards. Qualifications Minimum 2-4 years of experience in the facilities field. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Facilities Engineering. Previous experience in facilities management or engineering within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of building systems and infrastructure, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems. Familiarity with safety regulations, environmental compliance, and building codes applicable to manufacturing facilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external contractors, and regulatory agencies. Physical & Environmental Demands Frequent standing, kneeling, crawling, and stooping. Primarily based in a manufacturing facility, requiring regular site visits and interaction with production teams. Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols. Extended periods of sitting in front of a computer, with occasional standing or walking during meetings, presentations, or site visits.
