Job Summary Senior Infrastructure Architect – Enterprise Observability and Automation. Senior individual contributor responsible for the architecture, implementation, and operational ownership of enterprise observability, monitoring, and automation platforms across HP’s global IT environment. This role modernizes infrastructure visibility capabilities while ensuring operational stability, security, and compliance. Serves as a technical and operational bridge between infrastructure engineering, cybersecurity, SOX/compliance stakeholders, automation teams, and external technology partners, leading complex initiatives such as platform migrations, enterprise integrations, and governance enablement. Responsibilities Application owner and senior technical authority for enterprise monitoring and logging platforms (Datadog, Splunk); oversee platform governance, roadmap alignment, and operational oversight. Lead enterprise‑scale monitoring platform migrations, designing architecture, agent strategy, data ingestion models, vendor coordination, and deployment across 5,000+ servers. Define standards for alerting, dashboards, observability data quality, and integration with ITSM platforms (ServiceNow). Design and manage multi‑org Datadog architecture, including org structure, RBAC, SSO/SAML, secrets management, and cybersecurity compliance. Oversee SNMP‑based monitoring of storage and network devices, including device profiling, syslog/event integration, and NetFlow collection. SOX control owner for enterprise monitoring applications; approve monthly reviews, support internal/external audits (EY), and maintain ITGC/SOX compliance. Provide audit evidence, walkthrough documentation, and coordinate with auditors on logging, access management, and change management controls. Review and approve technical designs for compliance‑driven logging use cases, including SOX audit logs and security visibility. Participate in the App Owner Community for SOX, staying current on IGA, ITAC evidence, and PUAR activities. Senior escalation point for monitoring and observability‑related incidents, coordinating troubleshooting across internal teams and external vendors. Lead root‑cause analysis and remediation for complex ingestion, alerting, or platform stability issues. Balance operational stability with ongoing platform evolution and cost optimization. Manage relationships with external vendors and implementation partners (RapDev, Wipro), including escalations, resource availability, and contract deliverables. Coordinate with cybersecurity and identity teams on security reviews, MFA/SSO integration, and secrets management architecture. Lead steering committee meetings with senior leadership to align on platform strategy, budget, and cross‑organizational adoption. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience. 10+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure architecture, monitoring/observability, or platform engineering. Proven experience operating in large, complex IT environments with strong governance and compliance requirements. Technical expertise with enterprise monitoring and logging platforms (Datadog, Splunk, or equivalent). Understanding of infrastructure observability – metrics, logs, events, alerting, dashboards, and ITSM integrations (ServiceNow). Knowledge of server, network, and platform monitoring; agent‑based and agentless architectures. Experience with infrastructure automation tools (Ansible, PowerShell, scripting). Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and hybrid infrastructure environments. Proficiency in RBAC, SSO/SAML, secrets management, and enterprise security architecture. Governance and leadership experience in SOX compliance, ITGC controls, audit processes. Experience with change management, CAB governance, and release processes. Incident management and escalation leadership. Vendor management with implementation partners and service providers. Strong written and verbal communication across technical and executive audiences.
