Job Overview Position: Pre-silicon Power & Performance Engineer (1-year contract) – Mexico, Guadalajara. This role focuses on verifying RTL implementation for Intel's next-generation high-performance CPUs and interfaces, ensuring end-to-end power-performance correlation. Responsibilities Develop validation strategies, plans and methodologies in collaboration with designers, architects, manufacturing and pre-silicon teams. Enable test content for pre-silicon power-performance validation and develop automation software/tools for debugging. Execute validation plans, perform root-cause debugging and provide robust design fixes. Use simulation and emulation environments to produce test results and report findings, including product risk/health assessment from a power and performance standpoint. Deliver high-quality output against deadlines and collaborate effectively across sites. Qualifications Completed or in-progress BS, MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline. Minimum 2+ years of experience applying knowledge of computer architecture, CPU micro-architecture, and operating systems (e.g., Linux). Proven experience in Python scripting and/or object-oriented programming (e.g., C/C++). Fluent in written and spoken English. Unrestricted, permanent right to work in Mexico (no visa sponsorship). Preferred Qualifications Experience with emulation and simulation test environments. Hands‑on experience with pre-silicon and system diagnosis using debug tools. Experience with power, thermal and performance validation. Knowledge of Intel Architecture ISA, system architecture and x86 assembly language. Ability to read specifications, identify and document stress-testing cases.
