Job Title: Plant Manager (Automotive & Metal-Mechanic) Location: Toluca, Estado de México (On-site) Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Contract Position Overview A leading metal-mechanic company in the automotive sector is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Plant Manager. The primary objective of this role is to drive overall business success, measured by revenue growth, project pipeline health, and gross margin optimization. The Plant Manager will oversee all daily manufacturing operations, including production, maintenance, quality, warehouse management, logistics, and production planning. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures designed to boost productivity, ensure top-tier quality, and align operational capabilities with corporate growth objectives. Key Responsibilities Manage daily manufacturing operations to consistently exceed customer expectations regarding delivery, quality, and cost efficiency. Increase production output, asset capacity, and operational flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining quality standards. Meet and exceed plant KPIs through strategic planning, execution, and continuous monitoring of work plans. Maintain direct accountability for production volumes, product quality, and on-time shipping schedules. Foster a robust continuous improvement culture by leveraging advanced Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Allocate resources effectively and maximize asset utilization to deliver optimal financial and operational results. Identify and prioritize key customer segments to develop and execute go-to-market strategies that maximize sales and market share. Analyze product gaps and coordinate resource allocation to maximize the revenue potential of the existing product portfolio. Deliver on monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and profit growth targets. Develop systems and processes to track and optimize productivity, performance metrics, and return on assets. Stay up-to-date with advanced manufacturing concepts, industry trends, and production management best practices. Requirements and Qualifications. Experience: Minimum of 8 years of solid experience as a Plant Manager or in an equivalent senior operational leadership role within the automotive sector. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Electromechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a closely related technical field. Language Skills: Advanced, fluent English (both written and spoken) is mandatory for corporate alignment and executive reporting. Technical Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of CNC manufacturing processes or metal component fabrication. Industry Standards: Deep understanding and proven implementation of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 quality management standards. Methodologies & Core Tools: Advanced expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Automotive Core Tools (FMEA, Control Plan, APQP, MSA, PPAP, SPC). Financial Acumen: Advanced experience in P&L management, corporate budgeting, and operational financial planning. Leadership Leadership & Soft Skills: Exceptional track record in team management, talent development, strategic vision, and assertive command execution.
