MissionHires is seeking a Head of Central America (Fintech) to launch, scale, and own growth across Central American markets. You will drive end‑to‑end market strategy, P&L, partnerships, customer acquisition and retention, pricing, CX, and team leadership. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will be the internal and external face of Central America, building a high‑performing regional team, forging trust‑based relationships with diaspora communities and commercial partners, and continuously improving performance through data‑driven experimentation. Preference for Mexico‑based candidates; international travel required. As the Head of Central America, your role will be to develop and scale supply‑side partnerships in Central America and grow our user base. You will be excited to manage every aspect of growth in said markets: customer acquisition and retention strategy, pricing, user research, product quality, customer experience, team development and coaching. You will have an acute “own it” mindset, equally obsessed with the experience of individual users as with iterating and optimizing scalable growth tactics and processes. You will have P&L ownership, delivering the growth and profitability targets for the Central America market. You will seek to establish as the leading product/service for sending remittances to Central America whilst being the “face” of Central America both internally and externally. Reporting directly to our Chief Commercial Officer, as well as building and leading a team of growth managers on the ground in sending markets, the role offers the chance to join an early‑stage, high‑growth startup and to have a positive impact on the communities we serve. Responsibilities Define and execute the vision, strategy, and go‑to‑market plan for Central America (sending and receiving markets) Own market P&L, delivering growth, unit economics, and profitability targets Design and iterate customer acquisition, retention, pricing, and lifecycle strategies with a test‑and‑learn approach Monitor and interpret growth, operational, and financial metrics to optimize execution and outcomes Conduct user research and competitive analysis to recommend product and experience improvements Build, deepen, and scale partnerships with diaspora communities and commercial partners across Central America Serve as the external and internal face of Central America, representing the market to leadership and stakeholders Collaborate cross‑functionally with Customer Service, Finance, Tech, Legal, Compliance, and People Ops to unblock execution Establish and improve scalable growth tactics, processes, and playbooks for multi‑country expansion Hire, lead, coach, and retain a diverse, high‑performing regional team of growth managers Set clear goals, timelines, and operating rhythms for the regional team and hold teams accountable Report progress, insights, and needs to executive leadership with data‑backed recommendations Travel internationally to meet banks, regulators, disbursal partners, internal teams, and customers Requirements 7–15 years of experience in fast‑paced, high‑growth environments (e.g., startups, consulting, finance) Proven track record launching and scaling markets with full ownership of growth and profitability (P&L) Experience building, developing, and leading multi‑regional teams Advanced stakeholder management and partnership‑building skills, including work with diaspora communities and commercial partners Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to make data‑driven decisions and run test‑and‑learn experiments Understanding of the Central American regulatory landscape; financial regulation experience is advantageous Ability to travel internationally on a periodic and ad‑hoc basis Excellent cross‑functional collaboration skills across Customer Service, Finance, Tech, Legal, Compliance, and People Ops Execution‑oriented with an “own it” mindset; able to take ideas from concept to implementation Mission‑oriented and passionate about tech for good and positive community impact Organized, systems‑driven work style suited to a scrappy startup environment Outgoing relationship‑builder with strong communication and presentation skills Driven and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, target‑oriented environment Preferred Qualifications Preference for Mexico‑based candidates Ability to travel internationally periodically and ad‑hoc to meet banks, regulators, disbursal partners, internal stakeholders and customers Keen interest in understanding the Central American diaspora Advanced stakeholder management capability Experience building, developing, managing and leading teams multi‑regionally Understanding of the regulatory landscape of Central America (financial regulation is advantageous) Strong analytical skills and ability to make data‑driven decisions 7 to 15 years experience in a fast paced and high growth environment such as startups, operations, consulting, finance, or similar An acute “own it” mindset, equally obsessed with the experience of individual users as with iterating and optimizing scalable growth tactics and processes #J-18808-Ljbffr
