Contract: Contract to Hire – 12-month contract term Rate: USD $30 per hour Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution. English language – Good verbal and written communication skills, advanced level. Azure Certifications: Associate or Expert. Certification in Azure and AWS Architecture. Enterprise Architecture TOGAF and a Postgraduate qualification in Technology. Experience with Multi‑cloud exposure, including AWS. Hands‑on experience with Terraform, Bicep and/or ARM templates. Knowledge of PowerShell, Bash, Python. Responsibilities Design and implement Azure solutions integrated with on‑prem environments, following Azure Architecture Framework. Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate the creation and management of resources with Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates. Plan Azure Networking, including VNets, hub‑spoke, VPN, ExpressRoute and network security patterns. Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate infrastructure and deployments (CI/CD). Implement Cloud Security & Governance using Azure Policy, RBAC, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel and enterprise security controls. Design and operate containerized workloads with Azure Kubernetes Service. Apply 6R strategies (Rehosting, Re‑platforming, Refactoring, etc.) to migrate on‑prem workloads to the cloud. Build and maintain security, network and systems management applications within Azure and AWS environments. Develop availability, scalability, and performance plans for managed service environments. Automate routine tasks and security controls through Infrastructure‑as‑Code and related processes. Lead and develop best practices for the Cloud Engineering team. Coordinate with DevOps to extend automation above the infrastructure layer. Guide infrastructure movement techniques, including bulk application transfers into the cloud. Work closely with developers and engineers to recommend database or data storage solutions that meet business, security, and SLA requirements. Manage the migration of existing databases from on‑prem to the cloud using appropriate tools. Review coding and application architecture to ensure integrity and readiness for upgrades or extensions.
