Job Title: Network Security Engineer – Zscaler & Zero Trust Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer with strong expertise in Zscaler ZIA/ZPA and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) to support and evolve our enterprise cloud security posture. This role will focus primarily on Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) while also supporting Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and email security platforms . The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted technical advisor, working closely with security, network, and identity teams to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient Zero Trust solutions. Key Responsibilities Zscaler & Zero Trust Operations Administer, optimize, and support Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) and Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) platforms across the enterprise. Design and implement Zero Trust security policies , segmentation strategies, and identity‑based access controls. Troubleshoot complex connectivity, performance, and security issues related to ZIA/ZPA. Lead Zscaler upgrades, migrations, and new feature rollouts . Monitor platform health, analyze telemetry, and drive continuous improvement initiatives . Email & Threat Protection Administer and optimize Proofpoint Enterprise Protection , Email Fraud Defense (EFD) , and Targeted Attack Protection (TAP) . Investigate and respond to advanced phishing, malware, and email‑based threats. Collaboration & Architecture Partner with network, identity, and security architecture teams to align ZTNA strategy with broader cybersecurity initiatives. Work closely with vendors, partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure platform effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals. Documentation & Governance Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational runbooks . Ensure solutions comply with security best practices, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements . Required Technical & Functional Skills Core Requirements 4+ years of experience in network security or cybersecurity engineering. Hands‑on expertise administering Zscaler ZIA and ZPA . Strong understanding of Zero Trust principles , cloud security, and identity‑based access controls. Experience with SSO/SAML integrations , PAC files , and DNS security . Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network and security issues in cloud environments. Preferred Qualifications Zscaler certifications such as ZCCA‑IA, ZCCA‑PA, or ZDTA . Experience supporting large‑scale enterprise security environments. Managerial & Professional Skills Self‑driven with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision . Ability to work US business hours (EST): 08:00 AM – 05:00 PM, Monday–Friday . Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences. Excellent written communication skills for documentation and reporting. Demonstrated ability to act as a trusted advisor and subject‑matter expert . Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify root causes, risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities . Proactive, continuous‑improvement mindset focused on operational excellence .
