As a Warranty Analyst (Supplier Warranty) at Sensata, you play a key role at the intersection of Operations, Quality Engineering, and Purchasing, helping protect the company from supplier‑related non‑conformities. In this role you will: Act as a trusted partner to engineering and operations teams when supplier‑related quality issues occur. Lead the Supplier Warranty Claim process, ensuring ownership, timing, and alignment with Purchasing. Drive warranty recovery from suppliers, where your negotiation skills and commercial mindset make a real impact. Own and continuously improve the Cost‑to‑Claim process, ensuring robust and efficient recovery of incurred costs. General Responsibilities Verify customer warranty claims according to the contracts and technical factors. Ensure compliance of customer information against the warranty agreements, drive appropriate internal and external actions. Develop resolutions to problems of advanced and complex scope according to company processes and procedures. Control warranty contract expiration dates (including technical factor agreements). Advise quality engineers in regards to determining if clarification for our liability is needed. Communicate the reports to customers when needed to dispute a claim with them. Review financial information with regards to warranty claims, forecasts, and accruals. Advise on warranty data analysis, ad‑hoc analysis, trends analysis, etc. Review scorecards and customer warranty claims reports. Improve and maintain warranty forecasting reporting and compare with the actual costs. Act as a system administrator and subject matter expert for the necessary software. Optimize software to maximize efficiency for Sensata. Analyze existing business processes and provide recommendations for improvement. Lead escalation meetings. Advise on the integrations of new companies. Develop metrics around warranty chargebacks. Work on standardization of the process and global alignment. Develop escalation process based on reason codes. Develop standardized reporting. Support other back‑office projects. Introduce new ideas and creative solutions to increase efficiency, and update current processes. Advise on the overall team strategies and current objectives to provide fresh and new insight on possible improvements. Negotiate supplier warranty recoveries, balancing technical liability and financial impact to achieve optimal outcomes. Apply solid financial acumen to evaluate cost responsibility, chargebacks, and allocation to correct cost centers. Lead supplier‑related warranty escalations and drive resolution of complex performance issues while maintaining strategic supplier relationships. Act as primary point of contact for supplier warranty topics, representing the organization in cross‑functional and external discussions. Manage supplier‑caused warranty spills and ensure recovery through established processes and contractual mechanisms. Collaborate closely with Supplier Quality, Purchasing, and Site Management to resolve cross‑functional warranty matters. Leverage knowledge of commercial contracts, procurement practices, and supplier agreements to support claim validation and recovery. Operate effectively with high autonomy in plant/site environments, prioritizing actions aligned with organizational goals. Promote end‑to‑end warranty expertise across the supply chain, ensuring alignment with contractual and operational expectations. Strengthen robustness of warranty processes by identifying gaps and implementing improvements aligned with contractual commitments. Experience & Qualifications A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience. Must be a team player able to work in a fast‑paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands. Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation. Strong organization, planning and time‑management skills to achieve results. Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity. Hold self‑accountability to achieving goals and standards. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel). Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers.
