Acts as a key member of plant leadership, responsible for defining, implementing, and executing the overall quality strategy across design, manufacturing, testing, and inspection processes. Leads the quality function to ensure full compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal standards, while driving a culture of continuous improvement, defect prevention, and operational excellence. Oversees quality management systems, audits, and performance metrics, ensuring effective problem-solving, root cause analysis, and sustainable corrective actions. Collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers to address quality issues, mitigate risks, and enhance overall product performance and customer satisfaction. Maintains clear and ongoing communication with leadership regarding quality performance, key risks, and strategic direction. Functional Competencies Knowledge of Customer Quality and production systems. Knowledge of dimensional tolerancing (GD&T) and methods of metrology and gaging. Sets strategies for process improvements for support system. Knowledge of product testing. Previous Experience 5–10 years of experience leading teams and managing projects in a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders across multiple functions and organizational levels to achieve business results. Certifications / Accreditations Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies Strong problem-solving skills, including structured root cause analysis (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys) Lean and/or Six Sigma certification preferred Experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO standards) is a plus. Education Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Industrial, Mechanical) or Quality Management. Master’s degree, MBA, or advanced quality certifications preferred.
