Job Summary Eaton’s IS VEH EMB division is seeking a Senior Planner to convert customer demand in SAP into production signals, aligning with plant goals such as on-time delivery and productivity. Responsibilities Follow MRP signals to create work orders timely to satisfy customer demand, achieve desired safety stock and maintain workflow on the production line in alignment with the Master Production Schedule. Create and deliver a production plan and sequence to achieve OTD, Sales and Productivity. Communicate and coordinate with product line supervisors/leaders and purchasing teams to ensure schedule attainment and recovery if required. Monitor and report to purchasing area material shortages. Communicate frequently, proactively with customer service team to meet or exceed customer expectations and maintain up-to-date backlog status. Follow up with production control status of work orders, investigate factors that affect schedules to modify production plan as necessary. Follow escalation process of potential issues related with OTD, sales and productivity and support action plan for short and long term solutions. Develop and participate in negotiation process of Eaton claims (cost, time, rework, scrap, labor, sorting charges) with suppliers regarding non-conforming material. Support NPI team as required. Support the Planning lead and act as back up for critical activities. Support the Quality standards for our customer specific requirements and certifications (ISO, IATF). EHS Responsibilities Separate hazardous waste from the common waste. Place hazardous waste (gloves, rags, etc.) in assigned containers. Keep work area clean and contaminant-free. Do not waste water. Report any activity that may jeopardize safety and the environment. Identify and properly dispose of all chemicals that may contaminate the environment. Ensure correct container for disposal of hazardous waste (identified containers and containers to prevent spills). Report the entry of new chemicals required for maintenance purposes due to maintain a record updated and assure compliance of the correct handling of them. Contain oil spills and repair as necessary. Qualifications Education : Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Administration. Experience : 3+ years production planning in an automotive manufacturing environment or similar; 3+ years MRP Planning. Competencies : Strong knowledge of SAP and Excel. APICS certification (preferable). Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish. Soft Skills Proactive & results driven.
