Responsibilities Lead a small to medium maintenance team. Manage maintenance and repair of plant equipment and facilities according to GM maintenance systems. Conduct checks and tests, and communicate evaluation results. Recommend solutions to problems. Perform preventative maintenance and diagnose equipment malfunctions. Meet schedule and quality requirements. Comply with local and national labor agreements. Implement divisional and corporate policies, safety, and good housekeeping practices. Maintain frequent contact and collaboration with stakeholders outside the work group. Use personnel, material, and equipment efficiently. Establish a course of action to complete jobs and projects. Apply GMS principles and possess medium or basic knowledge of automatization, industrial communications (Ethernet, Device Net), PLC, motion control, VFD, and kinetics. Provide support to the team in troubleshooting automation failures, recovering critical equipment, performing analysis, and executing proactive improvements. Required Qualifications Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics Engineering, or Systems. Strong ability to learn on the fly, analyze, and understand industrial communications (mainly Ethernet and Device Net), technical drawings, pneumatics, electrical, mechanical, and controls. Intermediate English proficiency. Basic knowledge of Fanuc robots (programming and troubleshooting). Ability to work shift patterns (4x3) and weekends. Experience with PLCs from Siemens and Allen Bradley and knowledge of automation. Experience supervising personnel (teams of 10 or more). Preference for experience in automotive manufacturing plants.
