Job Summary Responsible for the sustaining engineering of electric motor products, including design optimization, cost reduction, and production support. Key Responsibilities Motor Design & DevelopmentResponsible for mechanical structure design and development of motors, ensuring compliance with PRD requirements and quality standards. Use CAD software for 3D modeling and 2D engineering drawing preparation. Conduct tolerance analysis to meet manufacturing and assembly requirements. Perform structural layout, critical dimension chain calculation, and tolerance analysis. Lead selection of key components (permanent magnets, silicon steel sheets, insulation materials, bearings, etc.), establish technical specifications, and conduct technical exchanges with suppliers. Output complete technical documentation including 2D/3D drawings, technical specifications (BOM, DFMEA), and test requisition forms. Optimize and improve existing product structures to enhance competitiveness. VAVE (Value Analysis & Value Engineering)Cost analysis and optimization: disassemble motor BOM costs, identify high‑cost components and cost‑reduction opportunities, and lead cross‑functional cost‑optimization projects. Propose motor design improvement solutions: material substitution (e.g., copper wire winding optimization), structural lightweighting (cast iron to die‑cast aluminum), promote component integration and platform consolidation, and validate solution feasibility. Supply‑chain collaboration for cost reduction: work with procurement to develop new suppliers, promote localized material substitution, and evaluate technical capabilities of tier‑2 suppliers. Mass Production Support & MaintenanceProvide technical support to manufacturing, quality control, and procurement departments to resolve design‑related issues. Analyze motor failure issues from mass production or customer feedback, identify root causes, and propose improvement measures. Initiate, review, and track implementation of design changes (ECN/ECR). Establish CBB (Common Building Blocks) for motor components to promote standardization and reduce customization. Participate in supplier technical reviews and capability assessments. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Motor & Appliance Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or Mechatronics. 5+ years in motor industry with knowledge of motor structure design and material selection. Understanding of basic motor manufacturing processes (winding, embedding, impregnation, welding, stamping, machining, dynamic balancing, magnet assembly, sealing, etc.). Basic electromagnetic design capability to interpret calculations from electromagnetic engineers. Proficiency in SolidWorks and other 2D/3D CAD tools. Fluent English communication (spoken and written). Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work under pressure with strong project management awareness (PMP certification preferred). Prior experience with low‑voltage AC motors or commercial vehicle motors preferred. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Strong learning ability and innovation mindset.
