Position Overview Reporting to the Managing Director, Americas, the Sales Engineer drives technical sales across Mexico, specializing in the advanced Axxon Mycronic line of dispense and conformal coating systems essential for electronics manufacturing. The role works with customers to provide dispensing and coating solutions for complex projects, engages directly with customers through project discussions, solution development, and quoting, and presents solutions in person or via online video. The Sales Engineer explores new markets, emerging technologies, and diverse cultures to identify growth opportunities. Key Responsibilities Identify sales opportunities to increase growth and market share expansion for the Axxon Mycronic line across Mexico. Achieve specific growth targets and strategically penetrate new accounts, even those dominated by existing competition. Cultivate and expand comprehensive product awareness and technical proficiency among customers in the region. Continuously identify and champion opportunities for strategic product line expansion and market diversification. Maintain and present a robust pipeline of sales projects in close collaboration with independent sales representatives and local colleagues. Serve as the primary technical communication conduit, skillfully navigating and managing interactions between customers, internal engineering, and external support teams to resolve complex challenges. Lead comprehensive technical discussions with customers to deeply understand unique project requirements and define optimal solutions. Coordinate all aspects of project solution development, including meeting coordination, quotation processes from the main office, and conducting proposal reviews to align solutions with client needs. Maintain consistent and proactive communication channels with sales teams for strategic project follow-up, diligently gathering precise technical details essential for impactful presentations and accurate quotations. Communicate effectively across local and global teams, navigating different time zones and cultural nuances to ensure seamless collaboration. Experience and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field, or equivalent combination of education and experience (minimum three years related experience and/or training). Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field is a plus. Minimum of one year of technical sales experience, including direct account and/or representative sales. Experience in the dispensing and/or conformal coating field is required, with 3–5 years of experience and familiarity with competitive systems in dispensing, conformal coating, potting, and two‑part mixing. Demonstrated ability to comprehend complex technical and application information and distill it into clear, understandable content for diverse audiences. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for professional interaction with executives, managers, and subject matter experts. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals or documents containing specifications. Strong organizational skills, enabling priority setting and handling multi‑issue situations. Market understanding and strong business acumen. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams). Experience with complex high‑tech electronic, mechanical, or electro‑mechanical products. Proactive approach to exploring and expanding into new territories, companies, and technologies. Willingness to embrace challenges and pursue associated rewards. Fluency in English is a must; Mandarin is a plus. Valid passport required for travel between Mexico and the U.S.; other international travel may be necessary.
