Senior Analyst – Pricing Role Purpose The responsibility of this role is to own and manage enterprise reference data maintenance for various asset classes in the department (Fixed Income, Equities, Derivatives & FX Business Pricing). This includes managing market data feeds (end‑of‑day and real‑time) from third‑party vendors and updating internal data tasks to support both external and internal HSBC systems for the aforementioned products. The role supports existing BAU processes and ensures end‑to‑end understanding of systems, impact, and robust controls. It also investigates and analyzes queries, ensuring productivity and quality levels are achieved to maximize customer delight. Main Activities Ensure all work is delivered within agreed timeframes and meets high‑quality standards. Deliver a high‑quality, customer‑driven service that provides customers with a positive view of HSBC and meets expectations in accuracy, timeliness, and professionalism. Process customer instructions accurately to achieve agreed quality standards and targets. Identify and escalatae common fraud, errors, or irregular transactions in accordance with procedures. Comply with relevant policies and procedures issued by the Group and within the Group Standards Manual and relevant instruction manuals. Maintain HSBC internal control standards, implement audit points, and address external regulatory issues. Acquire and update knowledge of processes to ensure work is completed according to procedures and within timeframes. Verify the validity and accuracy of each data record in back‑office systems. Escalate all vendor issues timely and track to resolution. Act as single point of contact for all information required by various teams across Data Ops Pricing and onshore business functions. Perform effective analysis on assigned projects, covering end‑to‑end vendor to consumer view. Drive change to achieve business goals, including process improvements and procedural changes. Maintain knowledge of market and regulatory updates and their impact on the process. Recommend and build effective controls by identifying opportunities within processes. Coordinate vendor management and resolve all data‑related vendor issues promptly. Review and communicate procedural changes and new initiatives, ensuring implementation. Prepare up‑to‑date reports and presentations for senior management meetings. Complete EUC assessments in EIM in a timely manner. Leadership & Teamwork Lead by example through service excellence and quality initiatives to improve customer satisfaction. Balance task, team, and individual priorities to inspire and influence staff. Create an environment for open skill‑sharing to achieve departmental and business goals. Organize work and ensure timely completion of agreed timeframes. Monitor workflow and priorities in accordance with procedures. Communicate best practices with peers to optimize resource use and support cross‑training.
