Job Description General Description Responsible for maintaining automatic SMD equipment in optimal operating condition, as well as providing guidance and technical support to technicians and supervisors in the area. Main Duties, Responsibilities, And Expectations Contacts suppliers for the purchase of parts, components, and spare parts for existing machinery. Prepares purchase requisitions for parts and spare components for machinery and industrial equipment on production lines. Participates in the development, review, and delivery of technical training courses. Supervises and coordinates preventive maintenance of machinery and industrial equipment. In coordination with support departments, identifies mechanical and operational issues in order to make team-based decisions. Implements changes within the production process to minimize downtime. Participates in Kaizen events and carries out and documents continuous improvement (CI) initiatives. Communicates SMD function metrics through reports. Provides technical support for SMD machinery and equipment. Knowledge, Education, And Experience Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field, with 3 years of experience in a similar position. Advanced level of English proficiency. Experience with X-ray equipment. Experience in electronic board manufacturing processes. Skill in the use of measuring instruments. Skill in the use of work tools. Knowledge in implementing production processes that minimize nonconforming product, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and applicable regulations. Ability to design and implement control mechanisms for detection, analysis, and corrective action. Knowledge of manufacturing processes for electrical and electronic products, including SMD, PCB soldering, electrical testing, automatic insertion, assembly, and inspection processes. Ability to identify areas of opportunity and promote continuous improvement actions. Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies. Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing.
