Warehouse Supervisor II – Second Shift (Supply Chain Planning) Purpose: Achieve an elevated level of satisfaction through excellence in receiving, storage, identification, dispatching, shipping, and material flow, ensuring quality of goods. Accountable for coaching and people development. Key Responsibilities Supervise materials associates to achieve business goals while maintaining compliance with quality systems, Good Manufacturing Practices, material control procedures, housekeeping, and safety policies. Supervise operations across one or more warehouses and facilities. Oversee material management processes of raw materials, warehousing, replenishment systems, and finished goods. Prioritize workloads, monitor and adjust daily work schedules, and distribute projects to meet schedules. Support opportunities to improve inventory investment through inventory entitlement models for applicable product lines. Participate in personnel development within the department. Delegate and supervise work assignments to warehouse personnel, ensuring continuous and efficient workflow. Coordinate material flow or product movement with other departments and propose planning initiatives. Develop and enforce procedures for the safe storage and movement of material in and out of the warehouse. Enforce all safety and environmental regulations. Correct inventory system errors that could affect replenishment systems, financial position, or overall operation. Manage replenishment methods and improvements to reduce inventory investments. Assure warehouse compliance with all regulatory requirements for logistics processes. Communicate with supervisor, vendors, and staff to resolve any problems and/or concerns. Provide information assistance for inventory policies and/or procedures. Provide support for projects in respective areas as needed. Provide support for ongoing initiatives related to safety and ergonomics programs. Manage materials flow between the warehouse and other Ethicon Distribution Centers and inbound/outbound manufacturing activities. Act as liaison between manufacturing, domestic, and affiliate ship locations. Coordinate physical inventories, cycle counting, surplus obsolete, engineering changes, cancellation activities, projected usage, and other inventory planning and reduction activities. Troubleshoot immediate inventory inaccuracies. Drive Lean/Six Sigma Improvement Kaizens or Opportunities. Manage inventory accuracy objectives by supporting the cycle counting process. Ensure continuous supply of batches required in manufacturing and maintain Vault WIP levels on target while communicating effectively with production planners. Ensure adequate support for IPTs. Supervise that all shipping and receiving activities and processes in the plant are followed according to procedures. Perform other duties as required. Ensure compliance with the quality policy in all activities and support safety and industrial hygiene objectives of the plant. Drive warehouse and vault layout configurations to accommodate new product or AR transfers into the plant. Qualifications / Requirements Experienced ERP/Planning Systems user. B.S. degree or equivalent in technical, business, logistics, or engineering. 2–4 years of related experience or equivalent knowledge and skills. Understanding of FIFO, ABC, MRP, and kitting processes. Data mining and reporting skills through MS‑Excel (or equivalent). Knowledge of SAP or advanced planning systems (APS/APO) desired. Good communication and analytical skills. Warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience preferred. Strong leadership and customer‑focused decision‑making. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proactive, persuasive, and influential. Proficiency in Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Ability to work with limited supervision. Ability to translate complex situations into simple working solutions. People leadership and supervisory skills: one to three years of previous supervisory experience preferred. Bilingual – English/Spanish. Lean or Six Sigma certification preferred. APICS certification preferred.
