We are recruiting for the Senior Associate position in the Tax‑R&D team. As a Senior Associate in this team, your responsibilities will include: Supporting teams of client and KTSA personnel in the execution of project work, monitoring and supporting progress against project milestones to ensure timely and high‑quality delivery of deliverables across a variety of clients within multiple industries in support of innovation tax credits including US internal revenue code section 41 R&D Tax Credits. Completing extensive quantitative analyses as dictated by the scope of each project, including reviews of trial balances, general ledger detail, payroll information, time tracking, and other sources in support of fact gathering and calculations. Reporting missing information and requesting additional information from clients in a timely manner. Writing clear, comprehensive, and exhaustive emails. Conducting qualitative reviews of activities related to industrial manufacturing, physical processes, software development, laboratories, computing and industrial facilities, data centers, etc. Reviewing technical information and documentation received from clients’ subject matter experts, including engineers and technical specialists, to identify support of research and development activities. Developing industry expertise over time with regard to development methodologies, regulatory considerations, common fact patterns, etc. Preparing and reviewing calculation workpapers, models and supporting memorandums. Preparing client technical reports and work paper, and deliverables. Reviewing compliance with client guidelines and acting as a liaison between clients and the team. Ensuring that work assigned is completed within the stipulated budgeted time with clear communication. Analyzing client feedback and addressing repetitive errors, including growing from team feedback. Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, or a similar discipline. Coursework or a minor in accounting, financial planning, project management, information systems or data and analytics is preferred. 3-4 years of relevant experience in an accounting and/or tax role is preferred. Experience with tax and financial items such as tax returns, trial balances, wage information, general ledgers, and project costing information. Strong proficiency in MS applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with a strong understanding of data analysis techniques. Technical writing experience involving products and/or technical processes is preferred. Familiarity with analytical tools including Alteryx and Power BI, etc., Experience working with one or more AI tools is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail - Quality and time conscious. Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data and draw meaningful insights. Valid US travel Visa must be acquired and maintained.
