Job Description This is a full-time hybrid role based in Mexico City, where you’ll join the Advanced Manufacturing Services (AMS) Center of Expertise (CoE) within BCN’s Expert Client Delivery vertical. Your initial focus will be on the Automotive industry, collaborating closely with senior managers and partners on case delivery and intellectual property (IP) development with potential to expand beyond automotive into other AMS sectors, and scale to more teams in the coming years as the CoE expands. While in Mexico, you’ll continue to be an extension of the broader AMS CoE based in India, which supports a wide range of domains including Automotive and Future of Mobility Strategy for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), Suppliers, and other ecosystem players. In this role, you’ll work in teams comprising a mix of Project Leads, Associates, and Analysts, and work alongside Bain AMS practice and case teams across the Americas to solve complex client challenges, shape industry perspectives, and co-create innovative solutions and products. What You’ll Do Serve as the manager in Mexico for AMS CoE, responsible for both case delivery and team leadership while also supporting hands-on execution when needed Lead and manage a team, with a clear path to scaling up to two or more teams over next few years Drive delivery of automotive-focused IP, cases, and solutions, in collaboration with Americas AMS leadership Demonstrate effective leadership, solution ownership and an \"at cause\" approach to problem-solving and value creation Understand client context, situation and business problem – translate into actionable research problems and ensure timely, high-quality delivery to clients through effective team/ project management Develop strong working relationships with Americas case teams through sharp communication, insight generation, and consistent delivery Shape how the team operates by defining team setup, collaboration norms and delivery cadence in partnership with local and CoE leadership Recruit, coach, and build a high-performing team, with a focus on capability development and long-term retention Provide day-to-day coaching on work-planning, problem solving, hypothesis generation and consulting toolkit to the Project Leads and Associates Deliver performance reviews and build connect with the team members through a trust-based relationship at all levels Act as a role model and brand ambassador of the Bain culture About You Able to work in a hybrid set-up, with 4 days per week on-site (Bain office in Polanco area) or at a client location Graduate or post-graduate candidates with strong academic records and 8–10 years of relevant experience, preferably in business research or strategy consulting across Automotive ecosystem of OEMs and Suppliers. Proficient in written and spoken English (C1–C2 level), with the ability to confidently lead discussions, deliver presentations, and manage senior internal and external stakeholders Strong data analytics capabilities are required, including hands-on experience with Excel and tools such as Tableau, Python, or Alteryx, with the ability to translate analysis into clear, client-ready PowerPoint deliverables. Proven high performers who take ownership, thrive in ambiguity, and solve complex problems to deliver clear, actionable solutions and meaningful impact in dynamic environments. Collaborative leaders with proven team management experience who coach and motivate high-performing teams, lead by example, and contribute independently when project needs require; cross-regional team experience is a plus. Travel is required. This position requires regional travel away from your home office/primary working location. Travel frequency and destinations will vary based on project needs.
