Overview We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and people-focused Group Director, Mexico City Operations to oversee the Rise Mexico City office. This role is responsible for improving operational excellence, evolving the workforce strategy, promoting office culture and supporting client growth, while serving as the key connection between Mexico-based employees and U.S. leadership. The ideal candidate will lead delivery across media planning and buying, support U.S.-based media activities, collaborate with Rise leadership on workforce strategies, and bring employees together across both our shared services and agency teams to create a cohesive and engaged workplace. In addition, this ideal candidate will foster collaboration, innovation, and a high-performance workplace. Location : Mexico City, 3 days in office; applicants must hold Mexican citizenship Key Responsibilities Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership: Partner with U.S. and global teams to ensure consistency in strategy, delivery / execution, and client experience. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership: Support / lead end-to-end delivery across digital channels, aligned to client business goals and in partnership with account management. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership: Oversee staff performance to ensure delivery against stated client KPIs. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership: Align shared services and agency teams to deliver integrated solutions throughout the sales cycle. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership: Represent Mexico as a best-in-class delivery hub – from strategy and planning through activation and reporting – within the organization. Team Leadership & Talent Development: Lead, coach, and develop high-performing media teams across planning, investment and activation. Team Leadership & Talent Development: Partner with HR and leadership in talent planning, hiring, and retention. Team Leadership & Talent Development: Participate in the development of / support clear goals, performance expectations, and career development paths in partnership with team leaders. Team Leadership & Talent Development: Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Team Leadership & Talent Development: Identify opportunities for ongoing training and development in support of channel mastery, media expertise and career growth. Site Leadership: Serve as the Mexico office lead, ensuring alignment with Rise global and U.S. leadership. Site Leadership: Partner with QAS operations in Mexico to support local initiatives across facilities, vendors, and / or media partners as well as the overall workplace experience. Site Leadership: Ensure a productive, inclusive, and engaging work environment. Operational Excellence: Drive process improvement, standardization, and scalability through adoption of agency systems and tools, as identified, with accountability for training, change management, etc. Operational Excellence: Ensure quality control across all deliverables. Operational Excellence: Support resource management and workforce planning to meet business demands. Culture & Engagement: Foster an inclusive, high-performance culture aligned with Rise values. Culture & Engagement: Lead local engagement and recognition initiatives along with team and in-office events. Culture & Engagement: Act as a trusted leader and escalation point for employee needs. Business Growth & Industry Presence: Support new business efforts, including pitches and proposal development, as needed. Business Growth & Industry Presence: Represent Rise in industry events, client meetings, and networking opportunities, as appropriate. Business Growth & Industry Presence: Stay current on media trends, platforms, and consumer behavior. Employee Support & Communication: Act as a trusted resource for employees, addressing workplace needs and escalating issues as necessary. Employee Support & Communication: Facilitate clear and consistent communication between Mexico-based employees, shared services, agency teams, and U.S. leadership. Employee Support & Communication: Partner with HR and leadership to ensure local employees understand company policies, procedures, and initiatives. Qualifications Education : Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, Communications, or related field required. Language : Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required. Certifications : Digital media partner certifications (any) and familiarity with Mediaocean, a plus. Experience : 10–15+ years of media agency experience (planning, buying, strategy). 8+ years of experience leading large matrixed teams and managing senior client relationships. Experience working with U.S. clients and cross-market teams. Experience leading a local office or operations is a plus. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities : Strong expertise in full-funnel media strategy and execution; experience planning and managing digital media buys in-platform (search, social, programmatic) and working directly with digital media partners; demonstrated leadership and team development capabilities; strong client management and communication skills; data-driven mindset with ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations; operational and organizational effectiveness; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Work Environment / Physical Requirements : Standard office environment. Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods.
