PRODUCT ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN JOB SUMMARY Provides technical and administrative support to Product Engineering activities by executing engineering changes, maintaining product documentation, supporting manufacturing implementations, and ensuring configuration control compliance. Works closely with Product Engineers and cross-functional teams to support product lifecycle activities, issue resolution, and successful execution of engineering deliverables. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Execute Engineering Change Orders (ECO), Engineering Change Notices (ECN), BOM updates, AML updates, and related documentation activities. Maintain product documentation accuracy and ensure compliance with customer and company requirements. Support configuration control activities and ensure proper revision management throughout the product lifecycle. Review engineering documentation including drawings, specifications, datasheets, and manufacturing instructions. Coordinate implementation of engineering changes within manufacturing operations. Verify materials, tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing documentation are aligned with approved engineering revisions. Perform line audits and implementation checks to validate proper execution of engineering changes. Support impact assessments and risk evaluations associated with engineering changes. Assist Product Engineers with validation activities including First Article builds, engineering trials, test verification, and process qualification activities. Investigate and troubleshoot product documentation, BOM, and configuration‑related issues. Support containment and corrective actions related to engineering discrepancies and product configuration issues. Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Test Engineering, Materials, Planning, and Supply Chain teams to resolve product‑related issues. Track engineering action items and support timely completion of assigned deliverables. Facilitate communication between engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure effective implementation of technical requirements. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to engineering documentation, change management, and process execution. Maintain compliance with established engineering procedures, quality standards, and customer requirements. May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. JOB QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes and engineering support activities. Understanding of Bills of Materials (BOM), Approved Manufacturer Lists (AML), Engineering Change Orders (ECO), and configuration management principles. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, datasheets, and technical documentation. Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and validation methodologies. Familiarity with change management processes and documentation control practices. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ERP/PLM systems such as SAP, Agile, or equivalent. Basic English communication skills preferred. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Technical Degree, Associate Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline. Minimum 1‑3 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, engineering support, product engineering, or related technical functions. Experience supporting engineering change implementation, documentation control, or manufacturing operations preferred. Experience with ERP, PLM, SAP, Agile, or equivalent systems preferred.
