Position Purpose This position will lead part of the Mexicali accounting team that may include any of the following groups: Accounts Payable, Payroll, Tax and/or Treasury functions. The accounting lead will report directly to the accounting manager. Responsibilities Assign daily, weekly, monthly tasks to the team, establishing priorities by position. Review prepayroll, payroll and employee payments every week. Review weekly accounts payable, confirming the accuracy of internal controls. Review and approve journal entries and reconciliations. Review tax payments. Correct issues identified in various account reconciliations. Assist in accounting continuous improvement efforts, analyzing VAT devolutions and ensuring internal controls are being followed. Provide training to accounting/finance team. Perform other duties as assigned. Other Requirements English 90% Knowledge of SAP and TRESS, tax knowledge, teamwork leadership. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, principally Excel.
