Majestic Resorts is looking for a Brand Communications Specialist with strong communications, public relations, and writing abilities that will support the company’s growing communications strategy of building brand awareness. Must be a strategic thinker with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines. Comfortability creating and generating attractive content for social media and press releases is required. Responsibilities Develop and write brand communications materials for social media, press releases, media inquiries, and other communication channels. Direct customer feedback to Customer Care and work to address complaints in collaboration with Operations and Sales in Costa Mujeres, Mexico with the goal to maintain a positive brand image and reputation. Establish guidelines for the Customer Care team in Costa Mujeres, Mexico to follow guidelines to encourage consistent and correct responses to reviews on travel websites such as Google My Business, TripAdvisor, and Review Pro. Create and distribute newsletters to keep guests up to date with the latest at Majestic Resorts. Plan and deliver a content calendar aligned with ongoing activities and events at the resort(s) in Costa Mujeres, Mexico. Monitor brand mention of @MajesticEleganceCostaMujeres and manage the positive and negative sentiments of the resort. Support responding to social media messages accordingly with brand voice guidelines. Publish in social media channels accordingly with campaign and content calendars. Stay on top of new communications and trends and identify growth opportunities for improved customer communications. Track, measure, analyze, and deliver monthly reports of communication efforts with the team. Develop and maintain relationships with journalists and other key external partners. Plan and implement interviews and press events as needed. Own projects through completion and continually maintain the responsibility to complete work on time. Communicate clearly and constructively. Work collectively with other team members and cross-department. Provide mentorship to other team members as needed. Additional job‑related responsibilities. Education Degree or certification in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Sales, or a similar field Experience Proven work experience in communications, marketing, public relations, and/or customer service in tourism or the hotel industry Language(s) English Spanish Other languages not required, but beneficial: French, German, Italian, and Russian. Required skills Expertise in Microsoft Office applications, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint is required Experience utilizing social media platforms, i.e. Meta, TikTok Knowledge of marketing communication strategies Experience writing aligned content for various media outlets and platforms Working knowledge of public relations, crisis communications, and/or media buys is required Experience analyzing data and producing reports Experience with brand monitoring platforms is preferred Familiar with social media publication platforms, i.e. Later or similar, is preferred Be a self‑assured communicator and presenter Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills Demonstrated ability to edit, proofread, and stylize written content that is aligned with brand voice. The ideal candidate for this position should be able to multitask, adapt to a fast‑paced environment, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
