Position Collections Associate llGuadalajara, Mexico (HPE Guad office) What You’ll Be Doing Collect on terms—may need to elevate cash flow problems according to management reporting structure. Takes appropriate action such as credit hold; capable of working independently with little or no guidance. A/R disputes—works with customer to determine reason(s) for non‑payment of invoices, queries specific invoice(s) for action, and collects outstanding balance if applicable. Credit—manages A/R exposure, facilitates sales and risk by reviewing order release and customer master file; releases orders as appropriate; sets limits or order release based on research; elevates to field sales and credit manager as necessary. Identifies bad debt and sets reserve. Process improvement—identifies root causes, recommends and implements solutions; establishes/upgrades best collection practices. Acts as a technical specialist on certain transaction types, providing guidance and assistance to sales and customers. Demonstrates independent thinking, works with little or no direction; may need guidance on highly complex issues. What We Are Looking For 4‑year degree desirable with 1–2 years of experience, or high school graduate with equivalent related experience. Supports large global customers. Strong MS Excel experience and attention to detail. Experience with complex A/R, cash applications reconciliations. Excellent verbal and written communication; must be fluent in English. Completes work with a limited degree of supervision. Likely to act as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience. Identifies key issues and patterns from partial/conflicting data. Takes a broad perspective to problems and spots new, less obvious solutions.
