Job Description Collaborate with innovative 3Mers around the world. As a Mexico Tax Analyst you will play a key role in supporting the VAT refund process in the Finance‑Taxes division. You will assist in executing, controlling, and analyzing VAT refunds, returns, and compliance with the applicable law and requirements in Mexico. You will report to the VAT refunds supervisor and work closely with the tax, finance, business, and accounting teams to provide guidance on tax matters and support the organization's tax operations. The impact you will make in this role Help prepare tax calculations and work with third‑party providers to prepare tax returns and deliverables: monthly VAT & withholdings, electronic accounting, etc.; annual tax report (Dictamen fiscal); informative VAT returns (DIOT). Help with VAT calculations and VAT refunds, as well as responses related to SAT inquiries. Provide consultation to tax personnel and businesses about indirect tax issues and outputs for generally defined items of low complexity requiring a general understanding of principles, theories, concepts, and analysis. Participate in regular oversight of the process to continuously improve and ensure efficiency. Monitor legislation, conduct tax‑related research and analysis requiring a general understanding of tax practices and procedures. Your Skills And Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting. 1+ years of progressive experience in taxes. Intermediate/advanced English level (both verbal and written). Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Knowledge of Mexican tax laws and regulations. Strong command of Microsoft Excel and Access to cope with large databases. Experience with Alteryx, Power BI, and similar data analytics tools is a plus. Good communication and interpersonal skills, including networking and teamwork. Demonstrates strong organizational and time‑management skills to meet shifting priorities and short timelines. Maintains high‑quality performance while managing multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment. Effectively adapts to changing demands and consistently delivers results within established deadlines. Work Location This role follows an on‑site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M office in Santa Fe, CDMX.
