We are seeking an Advanced Quality Planning (AQP) Engineer to partner with Product and Process Development teams to create, maintain, and execute robust Quality Plans that identify and mitigate launch risks. You will drive activities that ensure new products meet customer cost, quality, and schedule expectations and that quality issues are resolved early in the design and pre‑production phases. What You Will Do Lead development and maintenance of Quality Plans (PFMEA and Control Plans) to identify risks and ensure readiness for mass production. Drive process validation and line‑release activities (Run @ Rate) to confirm production capacity and capability meet launch requirements. Define and implement metrology and qualification strategies for new or modified parts to ensure product disposition aligns with specifications. Monitor and improve process capability (Cp, Cpk) through continuous statistical analysis and control of critical manufacturing variables. Implement and oversee Gage R&R and Measurement System Analysis (MSA) on the shop floor to assure measurement reliability across operators and automated test equipment. Establish clear end‑of‑line testing criteria, visual aids, and acceptance/rejection standards for inspection and packaging operations. Design and deploy error‑proofing solutions (Poka‑Yokes) in assembly tooling to prevent handling and assembly errors on sensitive cable and connector assemblies. Lead root‑cause analyses (8D, 5 Whys) for pre‑production nonconformances and institutionalize corrective actions into SOPs to close manufacturing gaps. Review and approve supplier product documentation for new/modified purchased components and collaborate with supplier quality engineers to ensure compliance. Promote system‑level improvements to product development processes to prevent repeat issues and reduce New Product Quality Notifications (QNs). Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline. Strong proven experience of quality engineering experience. Experience with new product introduction (NPI) projects. Demonstrated experience resolving quality issues during early design or pre‑production phases. Familiarity with PFMEA, Control Plans, and basic statistical process control concepts. Advanced conversational English. What Will Put You Ahead ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE). Experience with Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 or IATF 16949). GD&T analysis experience.
