Responsibilities Design mechanical components and assemblies for Commercial Refrigeration. Design and project‑manage New Product Development subsystems to ensure design meets performance and agency requirements. Support and lead process improvements, VAVE and quality improvement efforts. Ensure Kysor Warren/EPTA processes are followed, including Stage Gate (Integrated Development Process), Change Notices and other in‑house processes. Work with cross‑functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, including operations, marketing, sales and quality. Prepare design specifications, analyses and recommendations for presentation and approval. Technical responsibility for planning, organizing and conducting technical projects or phases of projects involving design and development. Project coordination responsibility of taking designs through the cross‑functional approval and change implementation from concept to production; coordinate the efforts of drafters/designers, engineering technicians and machine shop personnel as required by assigned projects. Design and/or redesign products to develop new products, improve performance, and/or reduce cost while meeting regulatory requirements (UL, NSF, DOE). Design products for manufacturability, assembly and reliability. Conduct independent technical investigations involving the origination or modification of material. Support New Product launches by ensuring design intent is met, providing manufacturing with all documentation and providing hands‑on support. Work closely with local teams in Queretaro, and teams in Columbus and Limana, as well as team members from Operations, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Quality and Procurement. Report to the R&D Senior Manager of Case Engineering. Travel approximately 25% as needed, primarily to the US. Qualifications Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering. Requires at least 5 years of related Sheet Metal, glass, electro‑mechanical or equivalent design experience. Understanding of the practical application of engineering science and technology. Solid knowledge of structural design and testing. Solid experience with SolidWorks, SolidEdge or similar CAD software. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products. Working knowledge of SAP or similar MRP. Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles involved in production of precision technical documentation, CAD, BOM, drawings, material data and other technical data. Experience in the HVAC&R industry is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English and Spanish. Sense of ownership and urgency with projects and work assignments. Experience working with glass and plastics is a plus.
