Confidence in presenting and dealing with supervisory levels within Sanmina and with manufacturers. Ability to manage multiple, detailed projects to a successful end while working under tight time deadlines. Must have experience of communicating, motivating, and persuading with a wide variety of internal customers and manufacturers. Must be comfortable with shifting priorities, timelines, and requirements. Knowledge of Supply Chain theory with practical experience. Ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams in a global team environment. Must be fluent in spoken and written English. Education / Experience: Bachelor's degree or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience. At least 5 years experience in Manufacturing, Purchasing, and/or supply chain management. Communication and presentation skills. Confidence in presenting and dealing with internal personnel as well as manufacturers and suppliers. Learn to, and manage supplier negotiations. Problem Solving – Ability to analyze situations, identify problems, and recommend/implement corrective actions, processes, etc. Understanding manufacturing and supply chain management. EMS experience and/or knowledge of Sanmina’s internal systems are a plus. Must have Excel and Powerpoint skills. K nowledge of: market conditions for the areas of specialization, including industry pricing, technology and supply/demand trends and suppliers’ management teams. Job Descriptor: Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of materials through the production cycle to determine required materials purchases. Obtains materials using engineering and production schedules to maintain inventory at planned levels (i.e., Just In Time purchases, use of EOQ - Economic Order Quantities). Ensures material standards are met and non-conformances or variances are approved and/or minimized. Develops specifications for new contract orders. Gathers quotations, examines bids and makes awards. Monitors cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.
