The Sales Representative for R.H. Shipping and Chartering is the face of our organization. This role is responsible for representing the organization in a professional manner, building rapport by providing information, giving recommendations, and communicating with the highest level of integrity. The Sales Representative role will be responsible to follow through with prospects to close business in alignment with organizational goals. About R.H. Shipping We are R.H. Performance Objectives Develop sales of our freight forwarder´s services to contribute to the growth and productivity of the company. Calls prospective costumers in designated market area to qualify leads and explain type of service offered Develops list of prospects from city and telephone directories Evaluate customers’ needs, make recommendations with the highest level of integrity Be able to build and maintain strong, long – lasting customer relationships Manage and report key account metrics & KPIs Work closely with operations, branch management and corporate departments to ensure the assigned clients receive industry leading service Maintain contact with customers throughout the sales process to ensure the delivery of information and any additional authorizations Develop, and execute business plan that will achieve sales quota and budget as defined by the company Complete Cardone U Training daily and attend weekly sales meetings in office Key Competences Well-rounded knowledge of shipping and chartering process Remarkable consultative sales ability, while providing excellent customer service Must understand impact of revenue on the profit and loss statement Effective negotiation and closing Techniques Competitive mindset to WIN, while maintaining a team-oriented attitude Must have organized approach to workload with proper follow through Effectively communicate in English with team members, management, and customers in both verbal and written format Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Ability to maintain positive attitude while working in a fast-paced environment Education & Experience GED or High School Diploma required; BS in Business (Preferred) Minimum 5 years of freight forwarding sales experience required Proven freight forwarding track record of growing a book of business and relationships Comission Plan Attractive salary according to experience.
